With many stories like these, He presented His message to them, fitting the stories to their experience and maturity. He was never without a story when He spoke. When He was alone with His disciples, He went over everything, sorting out the tangles, untying the knots. —Mark 4:33-34 (MSG)
Jesus used stories to communicate when He spoke to crowds, but once alone with His disciples He’d break things down even more. He will do the same with you whenever you get alone with Him.
Trying to figure out where you went wrong in your last relationship? Can’t understand why you’ve been single so long? Get alone with Him—in His Word, and He will break down those questions with an answer. Or, He will give you peace to move forward so the unknown no longer troubles you.
Write down the questions you have regarding your single life, and dig through the Word for scriptures that relate to it. You will sense Him enter into your search (Matthew 7:7-8), guiding you to the answer.
God, You have a perfect plan for me and it includes my single life. Help me get answers to my questions about the parts of that plan that I just don’t understand. Show me where to look in Your Word so I can find them. Speak to my heart, I’m listening and I trust that You’ll hear me and answer. In Jesus name, Amen.
